As it is performed by a strolling comedian. And they were welcome quests of commons at all times.“

Theatre of Víťa Marčík

was set-up in the village of Drahotěšice. A strolling theatre of several friends, which is based on the expressive charisma of Víťa Marčík – a stage director, scenarist, actor, musician… In the highlight is not only the creation of an alternative puppet-show but the use of all means available to establish contact and relationships with the spectator. The performances are full of the typical humour and wisdom of the folk narrator Marčík. In addition to the fairy-tales which are classic today and have received a lot of prizes on the theatrical festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad there are some productions for grown-ups (Robinson Crusoe, Mystery Buffo, Meeting near the Nativity,…).

However the theatre can be boxed neither into a theatrical genre nor into the age groups. This is a "phenomenon from the Southern Bohemia" as the newspaper MF Dnes called it.
