Meeting near the Nativity

Cast: Vítězslav Marčík, Markéta Šlachtová, Eva Juříčková, Pavel Šmíd, Karel Dřínek

The performance takes place among several friends which meet to celebrate Christmas together. They play a folk story of the birth of Jesus Christ without understanding how much truth about them is hidden in it. They make the atmosphere of calm and cosiness. Under the shell of this idyllic atmosphere there is some hidden tense and waiting for a woman – Mary whom they were not able to accept and sent away a year ago. This tense breaks through at the Christmas-Eve supper when the whole artificially made atmosphere collapses and unhealthy relationship and disability to accept each other comes to the surface. The story ends with the evidence of the importance to forgive as "Only after we forgive each other the true Christmas can begin." (end of the script).

The mood of the story is heighten with interestingly treated carols. The coulisse is partially made by a copy of the oldest Nativity of České Budějovice.
