Would K. J. Erben be surprised? Everything seems to be as it should be. The princess is pretty, Plaváček ("sailing down the river") is brave, the king is wicked and Father Know-all is golden-haired. A familiar story in the version full of surprises will make the public laugh, sing and may be cry.

The coulisse is arranged so as to be easily changed from a bulky castle into a merry-go-round or an old ferryman's boat. Everything of course with the help of the public.
